Home Front: Kaleidoscope of the Mundane
Foz Foster

Home Front: Kaleidoscope of the Mundane was published to coincide with the exhibition of the same name at the Camden Image Gallery, Feb 2022.

‘Throughout the series of drawings, the notion of battle strategies is presented as a strategy for making art. In place of the barbed wire, mud and grass of the ‘Great Wars’, 6ft by 3ft scrolls of fragile, bright white moon paper stand in for no-mans-land, where armies from across the world’s forces and histories are assembled to fight for one’s survival amongst the debris of 21st century life.’ Dr Alison Gibb

The 64pp book was designed in close collaboration with the artist, and each of the 150 copies is unique, with a fragment of original artwork signed and bound in. The cover is screen printed in black reflective ink.

With Monochrome Eyes was published to coincide with the exhibition of the same name, curated by Tom Lovelace in the Borough Road Gallery in February 2020.

‘With Monochrome Eyes presents the work of sixteen lens-based artists, bringing a focus onto the use of greyscale within contemporary photographic practice. Each artist has contributed one black and white work and one colour work, connected through ideas, negotiations and depictions of the body. In the exhibition these works were displayed in two separated but connected spaces in a gallery bisected by a slatted wall. In the book the works are printed on different paperstocks.’ Tom Lovelace
